Charles Lynn Frost is an award winning actor, playwright, and social justice activist. Frost was named Outstanding Performing Artist by Salt Lake City Mayor Ralph Becker, has been awarded Outstanding Arts Educator by the Governor of Utah, and named Best Actor by The Salt Lake Tribune, City Weekly, SLUG Magazine, and Q-Salt Lake. Frost’s creation Sister Dottie S. Dixon has been awarded BEST UTAHAN by City Weekly, Person of the Year by Q-Salt Lake, was Grand Marshall in the Utah Pride Festival, and Outstanding Humanitarian by RCGSE. Frost has been seen in FACING EAST, THE LARAMIE PROJECT, ANGELS IN AMERICA, GOD’S COUNTRY, and in many other plays. He is a Screen Actors Guild and Actor’s Equity Association union actor. He writes a monthly column for Q-Salt called The Queer Shift, and appears on X96’s Radio From Hell as Sister Dottie S. Dixon 3 times monthly. He resides in downtown Salt Lake City, with his husband Douglas Lott, and their Norwich Terrier—Cashman.
