Bio: Sara Rands is a clinical mental health counselor with Symmetry Counseling in Holladay, Utah. She works with intelligent, capable adults who feel stuck despite doing “all the right things,” especially neurodivergent folks and people navigating major life transitions, including faith transitions and cancer survivorship. Her clinical work emphasizes mindfulness, attachment, purpose, and agency, drawing from trauma-informed and relational approaches including NARM, ART, and ketamine-assisted psychotherapy. She previously worked in software engineering and holds degrees in both computer science and English, shaping a therapeutic style that blends systems thinking with narrative, meaning, and human complexity. Sara earned her Master’s in Counseling from Northwestern University in 2024, has been part of Oasis since 2016, and currently serves as Secretary on the national Oasis Network Executive Board. She is married and a mother of four young adults.
