We will not meet at the Parker Theatre!
Join us for fun this weekend! Sunday we are holding our annual Pie & Beer Day Potluck Picnic get-together at The Spruces campground, in group site #2.
Directions to the Spruces: From Salt Lake City, take I-215 to the 6200 South exit, go east about a mile to Wasatch Blvd, then head south of Wasatch Blvd to the Big Cottonwood Canyon/Highway 190 junction. Turn left there and drive up BIG COTTONWOOD CANYON about 9.7 miles. Spruces Campground will be on the right. Group Site 2 is near the main parking lot. (You can also take 7200 South all the way east to the canyon road.)
Bring your own main course and a side or PIE to share. Chuck and I are bringing a cooler of cold beverages to share with everyone. The site has picnic tables, fire rings, and BBQ grills and we will have hot coals at some point if you want to cook something. All roads and the parking lot are paved, and there are flush toilets and shade as well as a volleyball court and horseshoe pits.
If anyone wants to bring a guitar or ukulele, that is always fun!
PLEASE NOTE: Water is unavailable at the Spruces right now due to the drought, so bring whatever water you need.
